Logical operators

Note: AND, OR, NOT aren't case sensitive. It means that you can type AND, and, And, aND etc. in same meanings.

How can you use this ?

We explain this on some examples.

lov*

What it will do: It finds all words which starts with lov and continues with some other chars. Such as Love, loving, lovest, lover, lovely and so on.

Typical using: in order to find plural forms. Such as car and cars, you can type shortly car*.

dog AND cat

What it will do: It means all ads in which are both, the word dog and the word cat. Ads contains only dog, or only cat aren't found.

Equivalent forms: dog & cat; dog && cat; dog + cat

dog* AND cat*

What it will do: It means all ads in which are both, the words starting with the dog and the words starting with the cat.

dog OR cat

What it will do: It means all ads in which are the word dog or the word cat. Ads contains both dog and cat are found, too.

Equivalent forms: dog | cat; dog || cat

Note: Be very carefull with this operator in multilogical expressions (see last two examples)

dog NOT cat

What it will do: It means all ads which contains the word dog, but don't contain the word cat.

Equivalent forms: dog - cat; dog ! cat

ufo AND diving AND sky NOT cats OR spears

What it will do: If there are more then one operator, it counts from left to right.
It finds two sort of ads:
a) which contains words ufo, diving, sky and don't contains cats indepedntently on spears
b) ads which contains spears. Independently on ufo, diving, sky, cats

Equivalent forms: for example: ufo +diving +sky -cats OR spears

ufo AND diving AND (sky NOT cats OR spears)

What it will do: If there are more then one operator, it counts from left to right. You can change this by parentheses. They are counted as first.
It finds two sort of ads:
a) it must contain ufo, diving and sky but no cats
b) it must contain ufo, diving and spears

Equivalent forms: for example: ufo && diving && sky ! cats || spears
Equivalent forms: for example: ufo &diving &sky !cats |spears
